Program Team

Joe & Courtney Wambach

Youth Directors

Joe and Courtney Wambach currently serve as the Peniel Youth Directors. Courtney has attended Peniel her whole life and has been serving as the Youth Director at Peniel since 2020. Joe joined the Peniel team after marrying Courtney in 2022 and began serving in this role with her. Both Joe and Courtney have a passion to see God work in the lives of our youth campers while at Peniel! They both also have previous experience working with youth at summer camps and the youth group at their local church.

Adam Godbold

Youth Evangelist

Rev. Adam Godbold is returning to Peniel serving as our Youth Evangelist having joined us in 2024. He and his wife, Lindsey, have 10 kids and live in Georgia, serving as an Associate Pastor at Due West Methodist Church. He teaches Bible, theology, and pastoral courses at the college level and loves reading C.S. Lewis, enjoying good coffee, making pizza and calzones, watching baseball and football, and listening to various podcasts and his favorite bands.

Benny & Megan Shaffer

Assistant Youth Directors

Benny and Megan Shaffer are currently serving as the assistant youth directors. Benny has attended Peniel his whole life and joined the counseling team after high school. Megan started attending Peniel in the youth program and then joined the counseling team. Benny and Megan joined the Program team as assistant youth directors this 2025 and are excited to continue ministering to the campers.

Dj Segool

Set-Up Manager

Dj Segool is currently serving as our Youth Program Set-Up Manager. Dj Segool has spent his whole life at Peniel and has continued to serve the camp in various roles. Dj joins the program team in this position in 2025 to assist in managing the equipment and program set-up needs for our activities.
