But then comes the HORRID English dub. Like holy hell what the fuck. When I first joined the online english yugioh community I observed some of the cruelest and worst takes against zexal, and I could not believe some people would really hate the series that much considering all the good storytelling it does (especially after zexal II starts) but then I heard it.... I heard the thing that drops English Zexal from 9 to 1, YUMA'S voice. WHO FUMBLED IT SO BADLY!??! WHY DOES HE SOUND LIKE A BRATTY 10 YEAR OLD WITH A BROKEN NOSE? WHY DO THE ENEMIES SOUND LIKE JOJO PARODIES? WHY DOES EVERYONE SOUND SO BAD OH MY GOD! The background noise and the Ost is also clearly altered in the english sub to a degree that some of the best zexal songs (barian songs ftw) are removed or altered beyond recognition. In short, I can't but cry at the thought that my favorite yugioh series was butchered in this horrific way in the English dub, and I honestly think people that watch the dub after 10 episodes are either extremely brave or deaf.
